Description:
The primary way to reach this beautiful gem of a beach is by boat. You can pick up a water taxi at the Fisherman's Pier in Puerto Vallarta or from Boca de Tomatlan. This is also where you can pick up the trail to walk to the beach. It's not an easy hike, and depending on the time of year, the trail may be slippery or in a state of disrepair, but it's a beautiful adventure through the lush jungle. Once at Las Animas, you can dine at La Cueva de Los Piratas, the local beach restaurant. You'll also likely be able to grab a horse for some beach riding if you get there early enough in the day.
