The Agave Grill has been a Puerto Vallarta staple restaurant since it opened its doors in 2004. Located inside the Casa de Tequila storefront, the Agave Grill has a lovely garden patio and romantic ambiance. The servers make salsa fresh at your table and you can choose from a variety of fresh fruit margaritas to wash your meal down with.
Like its sister restaurant, Barcelona Tapas, the Agave Grill features good food, made fresh. Shrimp is always a good bet here. They also feature homemade ice cream, often in surprising and delicious flavors (like tequila-flavor, no joke!). Don't miss the coconut ice cream if it's available. The Agave Grill has a fine bar featuring a multitude of tequilas, many from boutique distilleries in the area. You can do some sampling at Casa de Tequila to see which ones you prefer.
If you like, hire the strolling mariachi to serenade your party with a song for a few pesos. Try a romantic ballad if you're romancing your date.
