While Puerto Vallarta is located on one of the deepest and most lovely bays in the world, there's more to do here than just swim and lie on the beach. If you can't drag yourself away from the golden sand beaches, go ahead and book a day sailing trip or partake in one of the beach activities like parasailing, kite-boarding or jet-skiing. Book a snorkel or scuba trip to really see what the bay has to offer -- wild dolphins, sea turtles, giant Pacific manta rays and vibrant tropical fish. Off the beach, there's plenty to do too. Take a tour up to El Eden and see the set of the movie Predator before hurtling through the tree-tops on one of 12 zip line courses. If you have the time, take a day trip up to the remote town of San Sebastian and see a real Hacienda from when the area was a bustling mining community. Don't forget to pick up some fresh roasted, organic local coffee! Back in town, take in some of the local culture by attending a Mexican fiesta night at a local hotel or if you're in town midweek, join the weekly art walk and view paintings, sculpture and other artwork by local and international artists.
