This tour combines the incredible beauty of nature's artistry that is found in the Sonoran Desert with the man-made art of one of Puerto Penasco's best known artisans, Victor Aleman.
Your stop at the Visitor Center includes views of nature itself and your choice of either or both of two short interpretive walking paths. Or you may simply relax on the grand porches and observe the quiet beauty of nature. Inside the center are displays of photography of the desert surroundings, artifacts from the area and other interesting facts.
You will also visit the Aleman Artisan Village and see what unique art man can create. This is a working artisan's studio where pottery, statutes, fountains and tables are formed from the products of the earth. You will enjoy observing the process in action.
This tour is one of the "Lets' Go Do Something" RussBus Van trips presented by Penasco Recreation. The van trip is priced for small groups of 8 persons at $25 each and includes snacks and drinks (water or soda). Smaller groups will be slightly higher and up to 14 persons can receive a discount.
