The Motel Mar y Sol is located off to your left as you enter town. The Mar y Sol also has RV spaces in the rear of the property. The property has been here for many years and is grown in and comfortable.It has the advantage of being right on the main highway. It is family owned and operated and they will be conscientious about your stay. Their rooms are basic yet clean and neat. The parking area is secure and the property is generally quiet.
This is a good economical choice for a basic room, especially if you will be spending your days busy exploring the town and nearby areas. It is located closed to the roads leading to the beaches both north and south of town. It is a good location if you will be traveling to the Pinacate or Schuk Toak Visitor's Center. Room rates start at around $30 U.S. so you can feel safe and comfortable while having a few extra dollars for exploring!
The up side: Reasonable rates for a nice, older property with a bit of Old Mexico charm.
The down side: Quite far from any beaches. Just as you get into town. A drive to most tourist related activities.
