The hotel opened in 2007, and really has a lot to offer for the budget-conscious traveler. It sits beachfront on the Mirador beach and you will enjoy the sandy beach at high tide and a rocky beach at low tide with its spectacular tide pool discoveries!
This is a small hotel with just 48 rooms; each having 2 queen beds. There are several larger rooms with kitchenettes. Ask for a room that has a view of the beach. The pool is very inviting with a large shady palapa. Although there is not a restaurant on site, across the street is the unassuming Sandbar Restaurant and Bar; which offers great early morning breakfasts and good, local food throughout the day.
The up side: The enclosed parking lot is for hotel guests only. The rooms have TVs with local and US channels. And the property has wireless internet. This is a good choice for families who are on a budget! The beach in front of this hotel is a sandy beach at high tide with spectacular tide pool discoveries at low tide!
The down side: The rooms, although fairly spacious, are basic. Individual rooms do not have telephones. This hotel is next to an RV Park and near several bars. The surrounding neighborhood may be loud on weekends, holidays or spring break.
