The Thirsty Parrot is an American owned bar and Restaurant on the Malecon. It is at the far end (or south end) of the Malecon in the Old Port. The Thirsty Parrot is located on the second floor only with an indoor stairway from the street.They have indoor seating and an outdoor terrace, both of which overlook the Sea of Cortez with un-obstructable Sunset views. From your seat you can watch the busy Malecon (boardwalk) below. The terrace area seating is shaded by palapas.
Inside, the center of the air-conditioned restaurant is a Tiki bar serving all your favorite drinks along with the "Fat Tuesday" brand of frozen drinks. There are flat screen TV's with sports and Jimmy Buffett, reggae and Mexican music. With all of this tropical ambiance you cannot but relax and enjoy the views, the food, the drinks and the music.
The Thirsty Parrot is closed on Wednesdays. They have Karaoke on some evenings, live music NFl games and always free darts to play, if you wish. They have great margaritas and many meals include one free. The menu includes both local Mexican and seafood favorites along with pizza, burgers, soups and salads.
