Get out of the center and stretch your culinary legs! Lots of good, fun and cheaper restaurants can be found all over Prague. Here we've rounded up some of our favorites, which include a wide variety of cuisines.
If you are still looking for Czech food, and want to experience some great beer, hit Pivovarský dúm in Prague 2. The beer is better than the food, so it's okay to have a liquid meal here. Also in Prague 2 is the vegetarian Radost FX with an international menu or Amigos for fairly decent , and quite affordable, Mexican food (you are a very long way from Mexico.) For a local pizza or pasta, try Crazy Daisy.
There are a number of good ethnic restaurants outside of the center. One of the best restaurants in town, (Michelin recommended) is the Asian fusion SaSaZu. On the opposite end of the price scale, but not the taste scale is Yam Yam Thai food, located literally at the Vysehrad metro stop. The best Pakistani restaurant in town has to be Manni.
There are two great places near Prague Castle, U Zavesenyho Kafe which serves a mostly Czech food and Maly Buddha (on the other side) which serves vegetarian Asian cuisine. In Prague 7, hit the local café Ouky Douky for a small snack or good lunch.
