We are huge fans of apartment stays. The fantasy of living like a local everywhere we go is attractive to our wanderlust infected minds. Plus, we've got a ready supply of food, space to spread out, and a more relaxing and quiet atmosphere. If you plan on staying in town for a week or so, we recommend investigating if one of these Prague apartments.
Staying in an apartment usually means a more independent stay - no front desk, no room service, etc. Popular with long term visitors are the Hunger Wall Residence, with a really great café, and the Marriot Executive Apartments, with the service you would expect from Marriot. MaMaison Residence Belgicka is similar; located on a quiet Vinohrady street. In the same area is Residence Masaryk, a charming and peaceful place.
In Mala Strana, the gorgeous Amour Hotel Residence is right next to St. Nicholas Cathedral while the Residence Mala Strana puts you in close contact with Petrin Park. A lovely neighborhood feel can be had at the Apartment Vysehrad, while those who want to be in the midst of Nove Mesto action, should see the Prague Central Apartments or the Downtown Residence.
Antique lovers should consider the Castle Steps. Rooms are spread out over a number of buildings under Prague castle and a great deal of attention has been made to the design.
