Description:
Established in 1893, Oakvale changed hands several times in the last 50 years, and now has the distinct advantage of making wine from the vigneron Richard Owens' Milbrovale Vineyard in Broke-Fordwich, one of the most consistently successful vineyards in the Hunter. This is a fun visit for the whole family, with a coffee shop, children's playground, and an Old Shop Museum – a turn-of-the-century general store --in the restored 1893 slab cottage.
