Located less than three kilometers outside the town center, the Phuket Orchid Garden and Thai Village offers an interesting glimpse into the cultural and historical legacy of Thai minorities. Here, you'll be able to see folk dances and Thai boxing, witness crafters at work, understand how the local wat (temple) operates and experience the thrill of long-pole fighting. You can also see Thai elephants and tons of birds, including exotic local species. The village is also home to a large botanical orchid farm. Visitors can walk through the extensive garden --1,600 square meters of rare varieties of orchids (including rare colors such as red and orange) are in exhibit here. You can take a single orchid home for as little as 10 baht (about US$ 30 cents), or you can choose to buy a potted plant (check custom regulations in your own country to see if you bring plants back with you).Map:
