Want to experience first-hand what Thai boxing is all about? You can in Phuket. Promthep Muay Thai Camp allows you to jump right into the action by becoming a fighter for a day, a week or as part of an intensive training program. Anybody from aspiring fighters to people trying to lose weight are welcome to participate. If you're not ready to step in front of an opponent, you can practice "shadow" muay thai, which consists of following a trainer as he performs fight moves. You can also learn how to punch, kick and use your body as a self-defense machine. There are also accommodations available for those who want to stay over.
