Description:
Coral Island (also known as Koh Hae) is one of the best popular snorkeling destinations around Phuket. Located just south of Phuket, it's easily accessible by boat, either on your own or as part of a tour. Beginners can stay near the shallow reef against the beach, while more experienced snorkelers or divers can head farther away into the ocean. Besides snorkeling, the beach is popular with sunbathers who want to escape the craziness of the major beaches in Phuket. Most visitors are day-trippers, although there are beach bungalows where you can spend the night if you're prepared to pay their upscale prices.
