Summer temperatures may soar, but there's always plenty of kid-friendly things to do in Phoenix. When the weather warms, the Arizona Science Center, our number one pick, inevitably fills with families enjoying the interactive displays, IMAX shows, and of course, the cool air conditioning. Our number two pick, the Children's Museum of Phoenix is not far behind. This kid paradise will make your child gasp in wonder as they lay eyes on The Climber. This massive climbing structure was artfully constructed from recycled plastic crates, steel, rubber, and just about every other building material you can name. Look for the giant porcelain bathtub with angel wings hanging, a favorite of many child.
For outdoor adventures, children of all ages love Castles-N-Coasters, an amusement park in the MetroCenter area of north-central Phoenix. Pueblo Grande, one of the only remaining archeological sites in the Valley, is a great way to explore Phoenix's past with your children.
