Philadelphia is known for its restaurants, its thriving art and theater scenes, and its plethora of musical talent and hip venues. If you hang out in Center City for just a day or two, you'll have plenty of opportunities to visit art galleries, to see high-quality plays or musicals at a reasonable price, or even catch a band that is about to sign a major record deal. Most (but not all) theater venues lie on or around Broad Street, while larger museums, like the Museum of Art and the Franklin Institute, are along Ben Franklin Parkway. Smaller galleries and theaters can be found primarily east of Broad, as you wander the small streets of Center City and Old City.
