Coincide your visit with bell-ringing times
Description:
The Bell Tower at Barrack Square on the Swan River foreshore holds the historic Swan Bells, a set of bells given to Western Australia as a gift from England for the 1988 Bicentennial celebrations. The unique design of the Bell Tower makes it a local landmark, clearly visible from Kings Park and easy to spot as you walk down to the river from the city centre. You can tour the Bell Tower and watch the Swan Bells ringing, and there are sometimes opportunities to have a go at ringing the bells yourself. Surrounding the Bell Tower is artwork and sculpture from local artists and children.
