Swan Valley
The Swan Valley can be found a half-hour drive from Perth's city center, in the hills region to the east. It is most famous for its vineyards and wineries, perfect for a meal and some wine tasting, as well as several local specialty beer breweries. The Margaret River Chocolate Factory has a famous branch here and other local produce of the area includes nougat and honey. Vineyards like Houghton Wines and Sandalford Wines regularly host concerts and the entire Swan Valley goes wild for the annual Spring in the Valley festival in October. The Swan Valley is a popular destination for wine tasting tours originating in the city where locals and visitors alike mingle as they test award-winning wines of all kinds.
