Perth's history dates back at least 40,000 years and it's worth finding out about the Aboriginal background to the city, as it was before white settlers arrived. For the last two hundred odd years, settlers have acted out their own history, and Perth's museums and monuments pay tribute to events like the Gold Rush, sporting achievements like winning the America's Cup, and the stories of immigrants to Perth.
