Description:
Perhaps the idea of a man-made lake doesn't sound incredibly exciting. But you'll be surprised at the hidden treasure that is Patagonia Lake State Park, situated in the rolling hills just outside the
Patagonia city limits in southeastern Arizona. The park was established in 1975 with a 265-acre man-made lake stocked with catfish, bass, bluegill, and crappie. For non-fishers, the park has a relaxing creek trail where you'll likely see wildlife, including white-tail deer and many species of birds, including Inca dove and hummingbirds. There's a picnic area with table and grills, a marina, restrooms, showers, dump station, and a Lakeside Market offering boat rentals, fishing licenses, bait, ice, and other amenities.
