This Left Bank hammam is exclusively for women, so swimsuits are optional. On arrival, new clients are shown a video of what to expect. Towels, robes and slippers are provided, as are hairdryers. Inside the décor is sumptuous yet modern, with a oriental theme to the steam room, sauna and relaxation room. This hammam also has a plunge pool for cooling off between steams. You can buy traditional toiletries such as black soap and argan cream (made from a nut exclusive to Morocco and Algeria) or choose from a range of treatments. These include massages with a choice of oils, hot stone massage, seaweed or plant wraps and facials. The last treatment is a hour before closing to allow time for rest in the relaxation room or something to eat in the restaurant. Booking is not necessary except for epilation, which is done here with the traditional caramel, sugar and lemon.
