Description:
Recently redecorated in contemporary style, the Aiglon (the name means "little eagle") is a small three-star to the south of Paris near Montparnasse and Denfert-Rochereau stations and Raspail métro. The building dates from the 1920s when guests included the artist Giacometti and the filmmaker Buñuel, and the hotel keeps that feeling going with a small library of art books. The 46 air-conditioned rooms are comfortable if on the small side and the hotel attracts a regular business clientele who appreciate the free wifi. Private parking is also available at extra charge. Buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room or you can take continental breakfast in your bedroom. Nearby is the leafy Montparnasse cemetery where Jean-Paul Sartre is buried alongside his lover Simon de Beauvoir. Both English and Spanish are spoken.
