Day 1 - Palm Springs
Your first day in Palm Springs will be one to remember and if you have rented a car this is one reason to have made it a convertible. The drive out to the Joshua Tree National Park is an excellent opportunity to drop the top and enjoy the weather in the desert. The national park offers many picnic areas and it is best to either get food to go from the Fantasy Springs Resort, at one of their many restaurants or pick up something on your way out of town. On your way to the park is the Oasis Visitor Center where it is a good idea to stop and pick up some quick information at the Ranger Station. After your trek through the national park you can either return to the Fantasy Springs Resort and enjoy any of their three fine restaurants or you can get the night started by enjoying the amazing French, American and Californian cuisine at Cuistot. If you are feeling up to it head over to the Velvet Palm and enjoy the drinks and DJ Matt as you dance the night away.

Day 2 - Palm Springs
There are two options for going to the Smoke Tree Stables: at 8am or 1pm. One option is to enjoy the cool and refreshing desert mornings. If the early ride is your preference it is best to eat breakfast on the hotel premises. Once you arrive at the stables you are in for a treat as you ride over mountain ridges and explore seldom used trails. After an exhilarating ride it is time to grab a bite to eat and Lyons English Grille, which is sure to hit the spot with its great selection of English entrees and huge selection of Irish and English beers. Now that you have recharged it is time to stroll through the flora of the desert at the Moorten Botanical Gardens, which offers over 3000 species of desert life. Next stop Melvyn's Restaurant where you will be greeted with outstanding cuisine and full bar, where you will be taken back to the 1920's, quite an adventure.

The Gardens on the El Paseo is your next stop where you can have quite an adventure perusing the many shops located in this area and when hunger strikes you have Tommy Bahama's Tropical Cafe to escape to.
