Day 1 - Palm Beach
Ok, there are two great options for romantic lodging in Delray Beach. Option One is Crane's Beach House, a small (27 unit) family-owned, two-story boutique hotel just a few blocks from the beach. Crane's has two small pools, hammocks, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Option Two is the Sundy House, www.sundyhouse.com, which is also in Delray Beach and is in a historic building with its own fabulous restaurant and beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds. Take the afternoon to explore Delray Beach and get settled in to your hotel. For Happy Hour check out Cafe Luna Rosa (3-6pm) or Bostons on the Beach. Walk down Atlantic Ave. and explore Old School Square and the numerous shops and galleries. Downtown Delray is very charming and if you are visiting during the busiest part of the busy season (Jan-Mar), there are festivals and fairs almost every weekend. Visit http://downtowndelraybeach.com/ for an event calendar. For dinner, The Sundy House has a very romantic restaurant or there are many options along Atlantic Avenue. I recommend 32 East. Sit outside and watch the people go by. If you want something a little more casual but still with a good scene, DaDa is great. DaDa also has a good bar if you want to visit for just drinks. Other options for drinks after dinner are plentiful as there are many bars and nightclubs in downtown Delray that I would recommend. Bull Bar is a great spot that often has live music and a good crowd. Falcon House is another eclectic night spot that is a little off the beaten path, but worth the visit. Get ready to head north tomorrow to get a glimpse of posh Palm Beach.

Day 2 - Palm Beach
Day in Palm Beach- Start your morning with a cruise north on A1A along the ocean! Enjoy the views of the rolling waves and check out the mansions and beautiful scenery. Along the way, if you are looking to stop at a nice beach, Gulfstream Park in the tiny town of Gulfstream, FL just north of Delray Beach is very pretty. Once you get to Palm Beach, get a quick and easy breakfast for under $5 at Green's Pharmacy. After breakfast you can head west across the bridge to West Palm Beach and pick up the Palm Beach Water Taxi at 11am (in Downtown West Palm Beach at Palm Harbor Marina, 400 Flagler Drive, at Flagler Dr. & Banyan) for a 2 HR narrated boat tour that highlights the mansions of the rich and famous and a history of Palm Beach. Or, if you would rather stay on land and tour at your own pace, the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum on Palm Beach Island, offers a great history lesson on the area as well. After the tour, head to Worth Avenue, the "Rodeo Drive" of Palm Beach Island, and check out Gucci, YSL, Chanel and the other exclusive stores. After your tours, have lunch at the famous Cafe L'Europe. Or, if you are on a budget, you can still rub elbows with the rich and famous, across the street at Hamburger Heaven. If you want to treat yourself to something special, schedule a massage at The Breakers in the afternoon and then spend the rest of the day there on the beach or by one of their five swimming pools. Pack a bag with a change of clothes, and after your beach day at their beach club, use their locker room (complementary with a spa treatment), to get ready for dinner. Go for dinner at The Flagler Steakhouse, where you can watch the sunset over the golf course or try the famous Cafe Boulud, but reserve far in advance. Chez Jean Pierre is also a big winner in Palm Beach. Be prepared to pay $150- $250 for dinner for two at any of these restaurants. If you are on a budget, I would suggest the Palm Beach Grill which is also on Palm Beach Island, or dining in City Place in West Palm Beach at one of the many eateries there. One of my favorites is Mark's City Place. If you are in the mood for drinks after dinner, check out Cucina dell'Arte in Palm Beach. They usually have a good crowd on weekends. When you are ready, head back to Delray Beach via I-95S and get ready for one more day in paradise.
