Palermo Nightlife

There are a number of ways to experience the nightlife in Palermo, Sicily. For one you must buy tickets to see a show at Teatro Massimo in the historic city center. You'll be able to indulge in a wonderful opera or ballet on the second largest indoor stage in Europe after the Paris Opera House. If you'd like to be entertained like a local head over to Maluluna for a night of disco, funk, live music, or Latin dance beats. However, for a more relaxing night check out Bar Alba near the end of the famous Via della Libertà. Opened in 1955 this nightlife hot spot serves delicious homemade desserts and allows you to wind down in an inviting atmosphere.

Due to Italy's profuse history with Cinema, a trip to Palermo would not be complete without checking out one of the movie houses. The Astoria, for example is an exquisite restored theater offering modern move-going conveniences and old-world charm.
