Lover's Point is a meticulously landscaped community park with striking views of the ocean and coastline. Sit on a bench and soak up the natural beauty or people watch – the crowds can be intense. If you enjoy photography, you'll have to be patient or exceptionally clever to avoid strangers intruding on your composed frames. Scale the rocks at dusk or dawn for the best views and a moment of solitude, but use caution if the surf is rough – the waves can be fierce. The small stretch of beach is great for beachcombing and exploring tidal pools. The grassy park is perfect for picnics. The more active visitor can fish, kayak, SCUBA dive, surf, play sand volleyball, or swim (with a wetsuit).
