The heart and history of Oxford are nowhere near as prominent as in its City Centre. The Carfax Tower, Radcliffe Camera, Bridge of Sighs and many colleges affiliated with the University of Oxford contribute to both the City Centre's picturesque skyline as well as its identity as the educational hub of the English-speaking world. The City Centre pleasingly mixes the old with the new, as trendy pubs, shops and restaurants attract locals and tourists for a mixture of daytime and evening activities.
