Oxford hotels range from really grotty to wonderfully grand and original. You should really try and get reviews on smaller hotels/bedsits because accommodation is in such high demand that often what is advertised is not exactly what you'll get and you don't want to be disappointed. Aim for a hotel in the centre, there are some very fair priced places due to competition so you don't need to be miles out. Note also that in the University holidays the colleges provide accommodation for tourists/ trippers/weary travelers.
