City Center
Oslo's main street, Karl Johan, begins at the central railway station (Oslo S), and ends at the Royal Palace. The area in between is the city center, comprising numerous hotels, restaurants, shops, galleries, museums, cinemas and theatres. Parliament (Stortinget) and the old part of Oslo University are in the city center. So is City Hall (Rådhuset), venue of the annual Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
