You'd expect a place packed with theme parks to offer an ample variety of kid-friendly restaurants. As far as kids are concerned, Orlando does not disappoint. The characters, color, and craziness spills over into a variety of great restaurants that know how to keep little ones entertained as they nosh leaving mom and dad to enjoy a few bites in peace. Everyone knows the obvious choices like Rainforest Café, but some of the more lesser known spots are some of the best. Take Pizza Fusion as an example. This forward thinking pizzeria not only uses organic ingredients, hybrid delivery cars, and has counter tops made from recycled plastic bottles, flat screens throughout the dining room play a constant stream of Animal Planet, which kids love. Kids go crazy over the do-it-yourself pancakes at The Old Sugar Mill at Deleon Springs. Guests are given pitchers of pancake batter that they pour onto the griddle built into the table top. For more DIY dining, be sure to visit the Melting Pot too. In the downtown area, Hamburger Mary's is always a winner thanks to more than a dozen different hamburgers.
