San Juan Capistrano/San Clemente
Created around the
Catholic Mission San Juan Capistrano, the Spanish and Mexican heritage of this city is reflected in its architecture. Famous as the ending point for the annual migration of Cliff Swallows, San Juan Capistrano is also one of the most diverse communities in Orange County.
Less historical, but potentially more exciting is
San Clemente, a thriving seaside town and the southernmost area of Orange County. San Clemente is often neglected due its geographical positioning; something the locals are fairly unconcerned with, satisfied as they are with their great selection of restaurants and bars, regular farmers' market and idyllic beachfront and pier.
