Huntington Beach / Seal Beach
Huntington Beach (proudly known as Surf City USA) is home to the longest continuous stretch of beach on the West Coast, and is known for its surfing history (where it all began for the sport in the USA) and its laid back vibe.
Huntington Beach has a mild climate and excellent surfing, thanks in no small part to its unique positioning: catching swells from nearby
Catalina Island as well as (sometimes) waves from distant hurricanes which accounts for the ever present swarms of surfers, both in the water and nervously changing behind towels in clear view of the Pacific Coast Highway.
Seal Beach has a similar vibe to its neighbor, but there's less to do.
