In a XVII Century building, made out of green quarry, the Museo de los Pintores Oaxaqueños (Oaxacan Painters Museum) was stablished in 2003.Oaxaca has long been the subject of arts studies because of its unique art style that differs from any other art expression in México. In this museum you can witness the development of the Oaxacan art, as well as know its mains exponents. The MUPO is trying to promote the Oaxacan art by favoring the exchange with other museums and galleries in Mexico and the World.
It opens Tue-Sun from 10AM to8PM. The entrance is 20 pesos.
