History Attractions in Oaxaca City
Oaxaca has so many history it was hard to pick just 10 sites in this Top 10 List of Historic Sites in Oaxaca. Let's keep in mind, civilizations have been present in Oaxaca and its surrounding towns for centuries, so if you like history, you came to the right place.
Of course, we couldn't have a Historic Sites List without one of the most important pre-Hispanic ruins in Mexico, Monte Alban, the Zapotec and latter, Mixtec ceremonial center. This is not only important historically, but also architecturally and artistic, since the tombs found there had examples of the most magnificent art in the pre-Hispanic world.
