Three Tables

NileGuide Expert tip:
Don't forget the snorkel!
Description:
Named after the three small islands out in the water (although more are exposed at low tide), Three Tables is a popular and easily accessible beach right off of Kamehameha Highway. The beach is rather small, but is made up of fine and bright white sand which leads down into usually bright blue water that is deep enough to dive and snorkel in but is on the shallower side.
Except for when the waves are huge, which is frequent during the winter months when the North Shore frequently sees large surf, Three Tables is often one of the more mellow places to swim and snorkel. Actually, even during the winter, it can be one of the more calm places to spend time in the water.
Snorkeling is good here. When the ocean is calm you can swim out the islands, or tables, and explore around them or climb up and spend time in the sun. Just watch out for your feet. There are no lifeguards or bathrooms here, but the North Shore is home to everything you could need. Bathrooms are nearby, along with a supermarket and more beaches and eateries.
