Oahu offers visitors a great selection of accommodation choices suitable for any budget. The majority of choices can be found in Honolulu, where the hotels are situated close to shopping, restaurants, nightlife and attractions and are within walking distance of Waikiki beach. Along the beaches of Waikiki, there are a number of big-name five-star oceanfront resorts offering all the top amenities and stunning ocean views. A few streets back, there are endless choices for hotels, condominiums and smaller boutique-style hotels. Venture out a bit farther and you'll find an array of vacation rental homes, cottages, hostels and even campgrounds for those wanting to be close to nature. Many offer oceanfront settings, tropical grounds and amazing views of the island. Bed and breakfasts are few due to Oahu licensing regulations but they can still be found dotted around the island, including along the North Shore near the popular Banzai pipeline, known for its world-class surfing.
