Description:
For generations, Storyland has figured prominently as the highlight of White Mountains summer vacations for families with young children. This amusement park features more than two dozen gentle rides and attractions specially geared toward the younger set (roughly ages 2 to 9 years old). Favorites include the Bamboo Chute water ride which finishes with a gentle pool splash down; the Buccaneer Pirate Ship complete with water cannons to ward off attacking ships or brothers and sisters; the Loopy Lab where youngsters enjoy battle royals with air cannons that shoot soft foam rubber balls; the Oceans of Fun Sprayground complete with a large yellow submarine and plenty of wet sprinkler activities; and Cinderella's Coach which takes boys and girls to the castle for a personal meeting with everyone's favorite storybook heroine. Several snack bars and restaurants are on premises and, unlike some other amusement parks, food and refreshments are reasonably priced. Families should plan on spending the entire day at Storyland. It's a great way to enjoy summer in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
