Beyond the beach, there are many kid-friendly things to do for families in Nice. The Zoo du Cap-Ferrat can be found in the verdant depths of the Cap Ferrat, among the villas of the wealthy, around 20 minutes from Nice itself and easily accessible by car. Slightly farther from Nice, Monaco's attractions are almost infinite and include the immense tropical garden that is home to amazing 100-year-old cacti, the Grotte de l'Observatoire, the Palais Princier on the famous Rocher and of course the magnificent Musée Océanographique. For a good time back in Nice, it's all aboard the Train des Pignes for a very picturesque journey. The train usually has just one carriage and is delightfully old-fashioned. You may never grow tired of gazing at the azure sea - but your children likely will. Luckily there are many kid-friendly things for them to do.
