The first North American branch of the Piedmontese megastore Eataly is a collaboration between celebrity chef Mario Batali, Lidia and Joe Bastianich, and Oscar Farinetti, founder of Eataly and its original location in Turin. Stretching over multiple floors and some 50,000 square feet of space near Madison Square Park, Eataly is a shopping and dining destination for lovers of Italian food. Visitors can choose to dine and drink on the premises--choose from a steakhouse, seafood restaurant, pizzeria, wine bar or brewpub/beer garden--and then shop for delectable fresh produce, meat, pasta, antipasti to eat at home.
