Warehouse District
The Warehouse District is a hip, up-and-coming neighborhood that also houses many of the art galleries in New Orleans. The Contemporary Arts Center is a beautifully restored warehouse with three floors of art exhibits, and there are nearly fifty smaller galleries along Julia Street. The Warehouse District often hosts art events, such as Art For Arts Sake in October and White Linen Night in August. In addition to the vibrant art scene, the Warehouse District also has many museums such as the World War II Museum, Louisiana Children's Museum, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Fun places to eat and drink in the Warehouse District include Rock n Sake, Sun Ray Grill, Cochon, and the Wine Institute of New Orleans (known as W.I.N.O.) Late night, try the Republic for dancing or The Howlin Wolf for live music.
