There is a walking path right outside the door on which you can stroll, run, roller, or bike for miles and miles along the shoreline passing quaint villages and homes on the lake. East is my favoirte promenade.

Description:

Built in 1889 and renovated in 2008, the Chateau d'Ouchy is a replicate of a medieval castle and most imposing. It located right on Lake Geneva with extraordinary views and next to the lake boat quays. There is parks and fountains all around the area as well as small boat craft to rent right in front. After the renovation it is now a welcoming combination of contemporary decor and period charm.

There is a gourmet restaurant has Mediterranean cuisine and a beautiful terrace in warm weather. The hotel also offers a sauna, hamman and a private boat, "L'etoile de Léman" for sailing on "Lac Léman".

The rooms and suites are now contemporary and elegant with dark parquet floors, chocolate browns and neutral colors. The Lake and Alpine views are extraordinary.

Located just across the street from some charming restaurants and the Beau Rivage Palace Hotel with the Olympic Museum just down the stree, the location could not be better.
