Description:
Moonlight Basin Ski Resort may be Big Sky's little neighbor, but it's no slouch. With 1,900 skiable acres and a summit elevation of 11,166, Moonlight has no problem drawing its own dedicated cadre of skiers and riders. More than 90 glades, chutes, groomed trails and bowls can be accessed by its 14 lifts, including the six passenger high-speed Six Shooter, which provides access to some of the resort's more advanced runs.
For those who don't want to be limited to either Big Sky or Moonlight Basin, the Biggest Skiing in America pass affords you easy access to all 5,512 acres and more than 200 runs.
Moonlight Basin is also known for a wide variety of accommodations, including the Moonlight Lodge, which offers luxury accommodations, dining and spa facilities. Other ski-in ski-out accommodations include cowboy suites and cabins (with all the luxury amenities a cowboy – or girl – could wish for), penthouse suites and log cabins with outstanding views. Many of the accommodations have ski access to both Big Sky and Moonlight Basin.
