Description:
Montana is known the world over by anglers for its fly-fishing opportunities, and the scenic Gallatin River is a four-season fishing destination. Gallatin River Guides, based out of Bozeman, provides full-service fly-fishing vacations for anglers from late winter to early fall. Brown and rainbow trout are the region's popular catches, and can be found on the Gallatin, Missouri, Upper and Lower Madison, and Yellowstone Rivers. Part-day and all-day fishing expeditions are available, as well as innovative "small-fry" fishing trips for the younger fishing enthusiasts that include fishing instruction and short lessons on Montana river ecology. Its two-bedroom river house in Gallatin Canyon has a loft and accommodates parties of six. Best of all, the location provides direct access to the river, and a good base for fishing expeditions to outlying areas. Outfitting services are available with or without rental. Gallatin River Guides is a member of Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, Federation of Fly Fishers, and is an authorized Frontiers Agent.
