Downtown, local and hip. In a historic building in downtown Great Falls, Bert & Ernie's has been a local tradition since 1977. The restaurant retains some of its historic atmosphere with a tin ceiling and painted brick exterior. In the opinion of many, Bert & Ernie's casual dining is the best restaurant in Great Falls.
Serving up classic American food featuring locally grown beef and grains, this restaurant is a well-liked lunch spot for local businessmen as well as a popular nightspot. On most weekends, Bert and Ernie's features local rock groups or bluegrass bands— regularly to a packed house. Serving beer and wine, they have a wide assortment of local microbrews. During downtown events (such as the Great Falls Symphony or First Friday Art Walks), you will find Bert & Ernie's particularly packed.
While steak is always a good Montana choice, when I am feeling extravagant I choose the Pishkun Burger—a buffalo burger with blue cheese and bacon.
