Description:

Looking for a different kind of lodging experience, where you can experience Montana's natural surroundings and pristine beauty? The Nature Conservancy's unusual Pine Butte Guest Ranch offers lodging in amidst thousands of acres of undeveloped ranchland.

Accommodations include comfortable lodging in a log cabin setting, far from the bustle and commotion of city traffic. Your window view really is the undeveloped countryside, and the sounds you may hear are the birds of a delicate and carefully protected ecosystem at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Each cabin is self-contained with a private bathroom and a wood fireplace. The cabins are built from locally harvested wood and river stones, and are equipped with attractive hand-crafted furniture.  Accommodations include freshly prepared meals, and ingredients from Pine Butte's garden and greenhouse, and nearby ranches.

There is a minimum of a week stay. Many guests incorporate visits to Glacier National Park, which is located within an easy driving distance of Pine Butte. The ranch is particularly suited to guests who want to experience the pristine beauty and learn about the ecology of this area, as it is remote. Workshops on the environment, guided tours, hikes and other activities can be arranged during your stay at this Nature Conservancy ranch.
