Shopping in Milan

Shopping in Milan is unlike any other city. Fashion designers have created their temples in this city, many can be found in one area known as the Quadrilatero della Moda meaning literally the Quadrilateral of Fashion, where four streets create what to some is designer heaven.

Via Sant'Andrea hosts not only Armani's flagship store, but other famous Italian designers, Fendi, Moschino and Caesar Paciotti. Via Montenapoleone is probably the most notable of the fashion streets in Milan with an amazing amount of designer boutiques and fashion house headquarters located here. Italian watchwords for fashion such as Alberta Ferretti, Bottega Venetta, Giuseppe Zanotti, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino and Versace all have a presence on this street. Via della Spiga is home to Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Roberto Cavalli and Tod's, Missoni resides on Corso Venezia.

Away from the fashion world Milan offers other shopping delights, Peck's is a culinary connoisseur's paradise, Corso Como 10 offers a unique blend of shopping, part gallery, part bookshop, part store and Passerini serves some of the best frozen confectionary in the city.

Just a small sample of the delights of shopping in Milan a city where souvenir shopping takes on a new dimension. Beware your suitcase maybe bulging by the time you come to leave.
