In New York City, it seems, a new wine bar opens every other week. So, it should come as no surprise that the march of the wine bar has spread throughout the country. Miami isn't the Big Apple, but the Magic City hasn't been immune to the trend that has its roots in the Italian mold of the 1970s, where the idea formed of creating a gathering place for wine lovers. Today in and around town glasses of reds and white are accompanied by platters of cheese and hors d'oeuvres, allowing oenephiles to sample and experiment with different pairings.
