Description:
Maui's historic art center resides in the 1917 Harry and Ethel Baldwin estate, Kaluanui, built by noted Hawai'i architect C. W. Dickey, and its surrounding gardens, renovated stables, tack rooms and carriage house, all of which now serve as art studios, plus the ruins of an 1850s sugar mill. Today, it offers traditional, contemporary and conceptual art exhibits, classes and visiting artist workshops in a variety of artistic media and tours, as well as renowned special events, highlighting local handmade crafts, gifts and food and open houses featuring studio tours and live demonstrations.
