At home you probably put 10 to 12-hour days in the office, but on Maui, you will put in 10 to 12-hour days in the great outdoors. Whether you are lounging on a beach or floating on a boat, Maui has some unbelievable outdoor options.
First and foremost, let's start with popular beaches on Maui. Surfers and bodyboarders should make a stop at Ho'okipa Beach and D.T. Flemming Beach. Both staffed with lifeguards and known for their giant waves. For a more tame outing, head to Wailea Beach or Ka'anapali Beach, where you will surely find crowds of sunbathers.
Head to the top of Haleakala volcano for an unforgettable sunset or sunrise. There are also tremendous hiking trails that lead to the volcano's crater floor. You will think you are on the moon. You can also look into booking a bicycle tour down the volcano.
Hana is Maui's most underdeveloped region and a joy for nature-lovers. Spend the day driving to Hana to experience the waterfalls, overgrown vegetation, rain pools, and natural beauty. There are plenty of outdoor activities in Hana, like swimming in the underwater caves of Wai'anapanapa or jumping off the cliffs at the Seven Sacred Pools.
