Maui's popular south facing beach towns include Kihei and Wailea. Most touristing visiting Maui will either stay in these towns on the South shore or opt to head out to the western end of Maui for the hotels along Ka'anapali Beach.
Wailea's top resort is the Four Seasons. The luxury 5-star hotel is often ranked among the top 100 hotels in the world because of its high end furnishings, attention to detail, and unimaginable service. Before you can sit at the pool, a personal attendant will ready the chair with towels, ice water, and offer sunscreen.
Next door to the Four Seasons is the Grand Wailea. This resort is catered more toward visiting families, as the waterslides, water elevator, pool basketball court, and water trampoline will keep the children entertained for hours. Both the Grand Wailea and Four Seasons share one of the best beaches on Maui.
Other top hotels in South Maui include the Kea Lani (which features private swimming pools) and the Maui Prince, which is located near the Makena Golf Course. If staying on the Southside of Maui, you should try and visit some of the hotels mentioned above, as the settings will surely leave you in awe.
