Description:
The Musée des Automates is a lesser know but interesting museum, particularly for children. The museum houses a collection of 250 electronic puppets and dolls that have been created since 1946 by the museum's passionate founder . In addition to viewing the museums various exhibits (which are housed in four separate rooms), visitors can also learn about the how the puppets function. Animated exhibits currently on display at the museum include; Gargantua the giant, Mozart, the hunchbacked of Notre-Dame, the famous French puppet Guignol and Peter Pan.
The Musée des Automates is open seven days per week from 2:30pm until 6pm. Guided tours are available in both French and English and entrance is priced at 7 euros for adults and 6 euros for children.
